This project involved approx. 320 tons of steelwork carried out in two phases. SCL utilised their own directly employed labour to erect the steel frame on site with the aid of MEWPS. This contract included the fitting of 9 timber glulam rafters and associated purlins and form the swimming pool roof.
The glulams were sourced from Austria were installed by SCL at the same time as the steel frame. Steel erection on site required considerable interaction with groundworks trades to ensure programme deadlines were met.
With the project complete we produced this incredible timelapse showing the progress of the Banchory Sports Centre.
